It is sad to hear that this will be the final game and the series is retiring, someone needs to step up to the plate because I crave a good baseball game for the PC. Endgame (7): Not a whole lot more content from previous titles, but 2K12 still offers trading, drafting, and adjusting rosters, so if you enjoy building your own team this game is worth a shot. The AI is slightly improved as well but still nowhere near where it should be. MLB 2K13 delivers hours of baseball action for any level of sports fan or gamer. And in a cool twist for Xbox 360 owners, 2K will make available a bundle pack with MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12 for 69. The mechanics do seriously lack though in comparison with The Show, fielding at times is unresponsive and pitching gets tedious after a while. Gameplay (6): Pitchers have a new throwing system and hitting has new variations with more realism. This is a issue I've had with every 2K12 title. Sound (5): The game sounds decent in surround but the commentators seriously lack variety after a while. The crowd is pretty detailed but limited in textures. Graphics (6): Although 2K12 has improved lighting and graphics from previous titles, some animations are lacking and not nearly as smooth as they should be. Presentation (8): The franchise mode has tons of options as usual and season mode is also more flexible.
Although it's definitely not on par with MLB the Show, I do not think 2K12 is a terrible game.

Although it's definitely not on par with MLB the Show, I do not think 2K12 Since I don't own a PS3 this is my only option for a baseball game.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that everyone on the field looks like a serial killer. And, I don't know about you, but I wish that Visual Concepts had dedicated a little more development time the player's faces.
The stadiums are impressive and realistic, but when you take a closer look, the field is rife with torn textures and jagged edges.
Graphically speaking, MLB 2K12 leaves something to be desired. It's a neat trick, but it will be rendered pretty useless once the 2012 season is over, which, I suppose means that we'll all have to buy next year's copy as well. As they progress, players will be able to compare their own stats against those of their real-life counterparts. This mode allows players to play a major league season at the same pace as their favorite teams. The only genuinely new feature that MLB 2K12 can brag about is the MLB Today Season Mode.
